In February of 1967, the Jinno Institute was founded specifically for the purpose of creating and educating specialists in the Automobile, Aerospace and Medical fields. Our motto is “We take pride in building great people, not just great technicians.” The Jinno Institute has the following 3 institutions of learning:

Nakanihon Automotive College (NAC),which was established in 1967 in Gifu Prefecture (bordering Aichi Prefecture), has a steady history of providing students with opportunities to study the latest in Automobile Technology. Today, Japan remains a world leader in the automobile industry with its advanced technology and excellent quality control and Gifu and Aichi have historically played key roles in that industry. NAC has been accredited by the Japanese Government (The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, and the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Sports, Science and Technology) as an officially recognized mechanics training institute. As of April 2008, more than 23,000 of its alumni are working in the automobile industry.

Gifu University of Medical Technology (GUMS)was established in April of 2006 and was formerly known as Gifu College of Medical Technology (GCMT, established in 1983). GUMS is a 4-year university which offers majors in Medical Technology, Radiology and Nursing, in order to provide the health field with highly trained and qualified medical technicians. As of April 2008, more than 7,500 of its alumni are working in various fields of medical service.

The College of Nakanippon Aviation (CNA)was founded in the suburbs of Aichi Prefecture near Nagoya City in April of 1970 with an Aviation Maintenance course specifically designed to produce highly qualified aviation mechanics to serve in the Aerospace Industry. The Aviation Electronic Control Course was also set up to train students to be Avionics technicians in 1982, along with its Aircraft Design & Manufacturing Course in 1985. In 1999, an Airport Service course was set up to train effective Ground Support Service Specialists. In order to provide better Aviation education for students and to meet the needs of the Aerospace Industry, the Aviation Electronic Control Course and the Aircraft Design & Manufacturing Course were combined in 2009 to become a three-year comprehensive study program called the Aviation Systems Course. The College of Nakanippon Aviation has been officially certified and accredited by the Japanese Government (The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport) as an institution which grants national licenses for airplane and helicopter mechanics upon graduation. As of April of 2008, more than 9,600 CNA alumni are working in the Aerospace field.

The Jinno Institute has a global network, which includes an office in Shanghai which was established in April of 2000. Students come from many countries such as China, Korea, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Thailand to name a few. NAC has ties with Chinese technical schools in Hubei, Shandong, Quingdao, Wuhan, Xinjiang, Beijing, Jilin, Shanghai and Taiwan as sister schools. NAC has also established a highly successful student exchange program with I.P.S.I.A. A. Ferraro in Italy since February of 2000. CNA has established a strong sister school relationship with Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology (SCAT) and South Seattle Community College (SSCC) in the United States, Shanghai Vocational School of Civil Aviation in China and Korea Aviation Polytechnic College in Korea. GUMS has a short-term exchange program with the University of Hawaii system including Kapiolani Community College. The Jinno Institute always welcomes communication with foreign colleges and universities around the globe, and is always ready to open its doors to new exchange programs.
